Winter’s Cloak
Da d-dah d-dah d-dum
and winter’s cloak surrounds us now
the brittle air, the angry cloud
a bitter wind blows o’er the ground
and neither one of us has been game enough
to go outside, today
da d-dah d-dah d-dum
but tonight the moon is full
we can’t resist the lure of light so gentle
and sure it is cold, and we are only mortal
but life is harsh, and cruel
and life is beautiful
we’ve got butterflies in our tummies
we’ve got butterflies in our tummies
we’ve got butterflies in our tummies
da d-dah d-dah d-dum
So wonder has us in its thrall
after all this time
what’s mine is yours, my tears are yours
and your joy is mine
your joy is mine
da d-dah d-dah d-dum
