Dear people of Linton and surrounding areas,
We don’t know many of you yet, but you are all invited to be part of the community driven artist led- Living Sculptures art project at Edinburgh Reserve. There are lots of different ways to be involved, whether you are a doer, dreamer, thinker, planner, visionary, garden lover, creative, sticky beak or just want to be involved and learn about Wadawurrung Culture and Country and do something creative and practical as an act of reparation for Stolen land and to regenerate the reserve.
Our vision is to collaborate with you to create two serpentine mounds at Edinburgh Reserve to grow an endemic indigenous plant community which honours Wadawurrung Country and pays deep respect for Wadawurrung living culture We would love you to get involved in reimagining what art in public space can be through a series of workshops and community planting days. Kait James will create some artwork signs that will tell the story of the plantings. Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation Healthy Country Team are supplying a plant list and some of the landscaping work and the project is funded by Regional Arts Victoria and Golden Plains Shire Council. We hope you will join us for all or any of the events.
We really hope you would like to be involved and look forward to meeting you and learning about Linton from you and collaborating to create something special and beautiful with you in the Edinburgh Reserve. Please Let Forest Keegel know any dietary or access requirements.
